There was a time, in the not-so-distant past, when the task of networking your company’s assets together was difficult enough to make it a modern Labor of Hercules. Going to each device and configuring it, and hoping that the gods of technology would see fit to grant you a prosperous, fully-operational network. Luckily, like the Lernaean Hydra, that’s not a problem you’ll need to face.
Like all things technological, networking has gotten much easier, too. We can build or augment networks with devices that are centrally managed through a software interface. With a few clicks of the mouse, WiFi can be activated, VLANs can be created, new devices can be added and configurations pushed out to managed devices.
